Get Ready for Back to School with Rubicon

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE RULES BEFORE ENTERING THE Rubicon 2024 Back-To-School Giveaway (THE “PROMOTION”). BY ENTERING THE PROMOTION, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER AND WIN. 

To Enter: The Promotion sponsored by Rubicon, a Savvas Company (“Rubicon”) begins on August, 14th 2024 and ends on September 11th, 2024 in the United States (“Promotion Period”). Rubicon will be doing a weekly random drawing giveaway during the #ReadyWithRubicon Back-To-School 2024 GIVEAWAY. All eligible preK-12 educators will be entered into the random giveaway by participating as per the “prompt” (The “prompt” means entry instructions included in and unique to each weekly giveaway post) in the comments of or in their shared/retweeted post of a @rubiconpublishing, @rubiconpubs  #ReadyWithRubicon 2024 Facebook, X, or Instagram post during the 2024 promotion period. Submissions must conform to the guidelines and instructions as further specified by Rubicon. There is a limit of one giveaway prize for each participant. Each entry into the weekly random drawings during the month of August and September 2024 also gains the participant 1 additional entry into the random drawing for the “grand prize” not to exceed a maximum of 4 “grand prize” entries. You understand that by participating you are accepting the terms of these Official Rules and agreeing to be bound by them. You acknowledge and agree that Rubicons’ use of your personal information is subject to the Rubicon privacy policy, located at 2040 Speers Road, Oakville, Ontario Canada L6L 2X8. 

Eligibility: The Promotion is available to PreK-12 US-school-based educators and legal residents of the 50 United States (including DC) who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. Promotion not open to employees of Rubicon or any of its affiliate companies or subsidiaries and immediate family members of each are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Rubicon reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entry if it concludes that the entrant has tampered with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or has acted in violation of these Official Rules or any applicable state, federal, or local laws or regulations. 

Prize and Winner Selection: 4 winners will be randomly selected. 1 winner will be randomly selected to receive a Cricut Joy™ + Essentials Bundle + Cricut Access™ Subscription (the “Grand Prize”) ($155 approx. retail value); 1 winner will be randomly selected to receive an Owala SmoothSip Insulated Stainless Steel Coffee Tumbler and $50 Coffee gift card to their choice of coffee shop ($80 approx. retail value); 1 winner will be randomly selected to receive a Prize Wheel and an $75 Amazon gift card ($125 approx. retail value); 1 winner will be randomly selected to win a dry erase board set and a $75 Amazon gift card ($135 approx. retail value). THE ODDS OF WINNING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED. All federal, state and local taxes that may accrue from the Prize are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. All prizes are awarded “as is” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). Acceptance or use of the Prize is at the winner’s own risk. in whole or in part. Incomplete or mechanically reproduced entry forms or entry forms that have been tampered with will be disqualified. 

Winner Notification: The winners will be notified within 7 days of the end of the promotion period and the winner notice will include information on how the winners can claim their Prize.  Notified winners must respond within 48 hours of being contacted by Rubicon, a Savvas Company with their contact information and mailing address or another winner will be chosen. Winners of Rubicon’s random giveaways will always be notified via private direct messages (DM) from our official @RubiconPublishing or @RubiconPubs channels. The failure to respond to the notification may result in forfeiture of the Prize and Savvas may award the Prize to an alternative entrant, at its sole discretion. Rubicon social media giveaways are free to participate in, and you will never be asked to provide financial information. Failure to comply with any rule, regulation or limitation will result in the forfeiture of the Prize, in whole or in part. Incomplete or mechanically reproduced entry forms or entry forms that have been tampered with will be disqualified.  

General Conditions: The Random Giveaway will be governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of the United States. By entering this Random Giveaway, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Rubicon on all matters relating to the Random Giveaway. By entering the Random Giveaway, all entrants agree that they are permitted by state, municipality, school district, and place of employment to receive the Prize should one entrant be selected the winner.  By entering the Random Giveaway, all entrants consent to the use of their names, submissions and any statements they make in connection with the Random Giveaway or about Rubicon in general without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Rubicon may request, at Rubicon’s sole discretion, that the entrant/winner provide any of the foregoing information to Rubicon. Without limiting the foregoing, by entering, all entrants shall be deemed to have granted to Rubicon, and its respective successors and assigns, absolutely and forever, the nonexclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty free right and license in and to their submissions, including the right to use, edit, modify and prepare derivative works based upon the submissions, and to display, publish, reproduce, transmit and deliver the submissions in and by any and all media now in existence or hereafter discovered or devised throughout the world in perpetuity. Entrants agree to execute any and all documents requested by Rubicon, including a winner’s certification for the winner, to effectuate the Rubicon’s rights described in this paragraph. Entrants hereby irrevocably and unconditionally waive any and all moral rights or any rights of similar nature under any law in any jurisdiction in and to any and all elements of the submissions. Entrants represent and warrant to Rubicon that (i) any submissions submitted are the original creation of entrant, and (ii) the Rubicon’s use of such submissions as contemplated in these rules will not violate the rights of any third party. 

Limitations of Liability: By entering the Random Giveaway, entrants agree to release Rubicon and all co-sponsors of the Random Giveaway, including but not limited to Facebook, Inc., Twitter, Inc. and Instagram, Inc., and their respective affiliates, parents and subsidiaries, and their respective employees, agents, and representatives (collectively “Sponsor Entities”) from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to person or property that may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of a Prize or with participation in this Random Giveaway. By entering this Random Giveaway, entrants agree that no claim relating to such injuries, damages, or losses shall be asserted against any of the Sponsor Entities. Entrants agree that none of the Sponsor Entities shall be liable for any injury or damage to any person’s computer hardware, software, or peripherals utilized in participating in the Random Giveaway. None of the Sponsor Entities are responsible for technical, hardware, software, or other communication failures of any kind, whether caused by any of the Sponsor Entities, users, or by any equipment, programming, or other cause, whether or not such failures limit an entrant’s ability to participate in the Random Giveaway. If for any reason (including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Random Giveaway), the Random Giveaway is not capable of being conducted as described in these Official Rules, Rubicon shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Random Giveaway. Savvas reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has tampered with the entry process or the operation of the Random Giveaway, or who has acted in violation of these Official Rules or any applicable state, federal, or local laws or regulations, or is acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person.
